The Story
The degree of flammability of three types of mattresses was tested Thursday at the county purchasing department, 9722 Watertown Plank Road, Wauwatosa. The director of county purchases, Wes J Budziszewski, displayed on the the charred mattresses. Purpose of the demonstration was to select a mattress for use in the detention home and other county institutions where fire might be a hazard.
