The City of West Bend's terrain can give a deceiving overall appearance. In this view, the Washington County Department of Social Services building, which sits on a hill at 320 S 5th Ave appears to dominate the city when looking south from the Courthouse. But the building, which is 123 feet high is only 21 feet higher than Amity Leather Products Co, which sits in a valley just beyond.
