The Story
New Orleans - The flow of water from inundated sections of Metairie speeded today as the cut leading into the 17th Street canal was being deepened. A retired dairy farmer, Frank A. Bordes, gave the use of his land for enlarging the cut and for the site of a permanent drainage ditch leading to the canal.
