1970 Press Photo PFC Scott McFarlane with family shows Army correspondence

PFC Scott McFarlane of Woodland, California, who spent 16 months of his two-year Army hitch at home waiting for orders, looks over a heavy file of correspondence and reports which he kept to find out where the Army wanted him to report after sick leave. McFarlane is awaiting the outcome of a Federal Court effort to obtain his discharge. With him is his wife, Carol, and their three-month old daughter, Laura Lee.
