1953 Press Photo Blackmail victim V.C. Georgescu with photo of his two sons

The U.S. today ordered 1st Secretary, Christache Zambeti of the Romanian legation expelled from this country for attempting to blackmail V.C. Georgescu, a naturalized American of Romanian descent into spying for Communist Romania. Price offered for this collaborating was to be welfare of Georgescu's 2 sons, Peter, 14, and Constantin, 19, who have been refused permission by Romanian authorities to come to this country. Georgescu displays photo of his sons as he talks with newsmen in Washington.
