The Story

These two striking United Auto Workers member employees of Ford Motor Company entered the company's National Parts Depot in Livonia, Michigan today to begin shipment of critically needed auto parts to Vietnam. It was the first shipment since the UAW went on strike against Ford September 7. The General Services Administration worked out the shipment with the company and the union in order to keep essential military vehicles in operation.
