Main drive components for the banana gantries (above), transferring bananas from the ship hold to United Fruit Company's Poydras Street wharf warehouse, were supplied by McLellan Equipment Company, 2375 Tchoupitoulas. The McLellan Equipment Company, 3375 Tchoupitoulas, is proud of the fact that some of the component parts of United Fruit Company's new banana handling system at the Thalia Street Wharf were supplied by companies whose products it handles.
