1959 Press Photo New York Wheel index ad device called Store Video at NYC

part of the latest innovation in store advertising this wheel index device is among the equipment being used to beam sales messages via TV to shoppes in Manhattan suoermarket. Called Store Video the system uses a tv camera and dozens of 21 inch tv monitors throughout the store. The camera is aimed at wheel index whose cards flip every 7 seconds. The ad messages on various cards are flashed on the TV monitors in the store. William Yoell VO of Store Video Inc checks the wheel index which has 70 different cards during a test of system at a Grand Union store
